I moved to LA with a dream of designing graphics for television but I didn’t know a single person in the industry. No uncles, no friends, no Mom’s friend’s old roommates.
But I figured something out because I booked my first show almost immediately. It. Was. Heaven.
And then the show got cancelled and C-R-I-C-K-E-T-S.
For almost an entire year, I had nothing. I felt like a failure. I couldn’t make this Hollywood thing happen and I fell into a depression.
I finally figured out the best way to break in and booked the TV show, Glee. Since then, I’ve worked on about 30 television shows over the past 10 years, covering every major network.
The secret to my success is a system I created out of necessity. (Because I wouldn’t even consider moving back home.) The foundation is based on a powerful mindset, and is carried through with a kick-ass actionable strategy.
Because it’s all the same. After talking to hundreds of actors/writers/directors, working with dozens, and being an insider in Hollywood for 10 years, I can tell you that it’s all the same.

In other programs you learn tactics. Tactics are little actions to try — how to market, how to do drop-offs — tactics.
While these tactics can be an excellent foundation (so kudos to you for investing in yourself to learn these tactics!), the piece you are missing is the overarching strategy.
