voiceover acting with producer kate mcclanaghan

For the past 26 years, Kate McClanaghan has led the Voiceover space with her companies Sound Advice and Big House Casting. With over 10,000 clients over the years, Kate has nailed down the Voiceover process from demo to career.

McDonald's, Sprint, and IBM are only a few of Kate's long run of big-wig clients.

Many voiceover artists are able to work from home. If you plan on going this route, Kate recommends not spending too much time getting crazy with equipment. A mic like the Audio Technica AT2020 is a great place to start. Total investment can be under $400 - $500. Just make sure to be standing when you record, not sitting, in order to best support your voice.

If you're interested in Voiceover work, definitely check out Kate's encyclopedia. You can purchase the hard copy here. Or the Kindle version here.

Kate was also "Siri" in the last scene of my LA Bound short! How great was she??

You can also grab Kate's special vocal warmup here.

Kate highly recommends getting training before recording a demo.
